Marina Chuchko

Marina Chuchko (Ph.D., UC3M 2019) is the postdoctoral fellow at the DATAREV project. She was a Marie-Curie Early-Stage Researcher at the MACROHIST project at the University Carlos III, Madrid, Social Sciences Department. She studied economic history with a particular interest in the history of trade, agriculture, and political economy. Her doctoral work was focused on the political economy of Russian trade policy at the end of the 19th century. Her most recent paper in the Economic History Review (hyperlink: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ehr.13116) studies the role of interest groups in tariff policy formation in late Imperial Russia. In the DATAREV project, Marina is working on the cross-country analysis of the effects of the Great Depression on the performance of the agricultural sector in Europe based on micro-level accountancy data for the years 1927-1937.
